Working Together

I work primarily with people who want to enter a regular, ongoing therapeutic relationship. Sessions are usually weekly, allowing time for trust to develop and for the work to deepen rather than requiring each meeting to produce a particular outcome.

Sessions take place online through Zoom. Although we meet through a screen, I approach online psychotherapy as an embodied and relational encounter: we are still two people meeting, each in a body and a place, and attentive to what happens between us.

Alongside individual psychotherapy, I work with selected couples where I feel that my way of working is a good fit for what they are bringing. If you are approaching me as a couple, we will first explore together whether working with me feels appropriate.

Beginning

I offer a free 20-minute introductory conversation on Zoom so that we can meet and get a first sense of whether working together might feel right.

This gives you an opportunity to tell me something about what brings you to therapy, to ask questions and to get a sense of me and how I work. It also gives me an opportunity to consider whether what you are looking for is something I can offer well.

There is no expectation that we will go on to work together. If we both feel there is a good enough fit, we can then agree a regular weekly time and begin.

Individual psychotherapy

Couples psychotherapy
90 minutes · £120

Sessions are usually weekly and take place online through Zoom.

Cancellations and changes

If you need to change a session, I ask for at least 24 hours' notice where possible. I will try to find another time for us to meet within the same week, and there is no additional charge for doing so.

Where less than 24 hours' notice is given and I am unable to offer another time that week, the full session fee is payable. I recognise that exceptional circumstances arise, and will use discretion where appropriate.

Working internationally

I work online with English-speaking clients and welcome enquiries from people living in different parts of the world. We will establish a regular meeting time that takes account of our respective time zones.

Before beginning, I will also need to establish that it is professionally and practically appropriate for us to work together across the countries in which we are each located.
